Chemical Rebarring & Anchor Fixing

Certified post-installed rebar anchoring, column and beam extensions, seismic retrofitting, and heavy equipment base plates using high-strength structural epoxy injection systems across Thrissur, Palakkad, and Ernakulam.

Monolithic Structural Bonding for Modern Concrete Extensions

When extending an existing building upwards or sideways—such as casting additional floors, extending cantilever balconies, widening staircases, or strengthening foundations—chipping away cured concrete to expose rusted dowel bars creates micro-cracks and compromises structural integrity.

Chemical Rebarring (Post-Installed Rebar Fixing) is the modern, code-approved engineering solution. At QuickCoreCut, we use certified pure epoxy and hybrid chemical injection resins from world-class leaders (such as Hilti HIT-RE 500 V4 and Fischer FIS EM Plus). Our certified technicians drill precise embedment holes, execute triple-phase compressed air cleaning, and inject calibrated resins that bond steel TMT bars to existing concrete with tensile strengths that often exceed the yield point of the steel itself.

Certified High-Bond Epoxy Resins

Using ETA-certified Hilti and Fischer structural epoxies rated for seismic zones and long-term design loads.

Full Range of Bar Diameters

Anchoring 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 28mm, and 32mm high-tensile TMT reinforcing bars and threaded rods.

Zero Expansion Stress

Unlike mechanical expansion anchors, chemical resins create zero radial bursting stress, allowing anchoring very close to concrete edges.

Pull-Out Test Verification

On-site calibrated hydraulic tensile pull-out proof load testing with formal test reports for structural consultants.

The 5-Step Certified Rebarring Protocol

The ultimate load-bearing strength of chemical rebarring depends 100% on rigorous installation discipline:

01

Design & Embedment Depth Calculation

Calculating exact hole diameter and embedment depth (typically 10d to 20d, where d = bar diameter) in compliance with IS 456, Eurocode, or structural consultant drawings.

02

Rotary Hammer or Diamond Core Drilling

Drilling clean, straight holes using specialized hollow drill bits or diamond core barrels equipped with automated dust extractors.

03

Compressed Air & Steel Wire Brush Cleaning

Executing the mandatory 2x2x2 cleaning cycle: twice oil-free compressed air blow-out, twice steel wire brush scrubbing, and twice final air purge until zero drilling dust remains.

04

Piston-Plug Chemical Resin Injection

Dispensing two-component epoxy through static mixing nozzles and extension tubes from the bottom of the hole upward to prevent air pocket entrapment.

05

Rebar Insertion & Controlled Curing

Inserting cleaned TMT rebar with a slight twisting motion until reaching target depth. Allowing full curing time before applying structural concrete loads.

Chemical Rebarring FAQs

Yes, and often stronger. When drilled to the recommended structural embedment depth (typically 12 to 15 times the bar diameter) and properly cleaned, the chemical bond strength between high-performance epoxy and concrete exceeds the tensile yield strength of the steel rebar itself, meaning the steel will yield before the chemical anchor pulls out.

We exclusively use top-tier, internationally certified structural anchoring chemicals such as Hilti HIT-RE 500 V4 / HY 200, Fischer FIS EM Plus, and Sika AnchorFix. We provide batch test certificates and expiry verification with every project.

In Kerala’s tropical temperature range (28°C to 35°C), pure epoxy resins (like HIT-RE 500) achieve initial set in about 30 to 45 minutes, with full structural design cure reached in 6 to 12 hours. Hybrid fast-curing resins (like HY 200) can achieve full cure in as little as 45 to 60 minutes.

Drilling produces fine concrete powder that lines the borehole walls. If not rigorously scrubbed with steel wire brushes and blown out with high-pressure air, the chemical bonds to the dust layer instead of solid concrete, reducing anchor capacity by up to 70%. We enforce strict 2x2x2 cleaning on every single hole.
